Everybody is an Astronaut
Katherine E Nash Gallery
Regis Center for Art, Minneapolis, MN, 2011
This exhibition was the beginning and the end of thinking too much about my work. All the sculptures are driven by my questions of reality and how I am "suppose" to be in this world. To answer these questions I turned to the flow of process and played with the unknown by changing the familiar objects we know and giving them personality and a playfulness that inspires the viewers to question what they are looking at. On top of making 3D work I was thinking about the whole space as a painting, a space to compose visual elements so all my colors, textures and forms work together but stand out on their own.
